Hi there, I’m Mark Grantham, founder of Fabufacture.co.uk, the UK’s only on-line lean manufacturing supplies superstore, that prides itself on providing everything lean manufacturing facilities require at a few clicks of a mouse.
It all began when I was a Manufacturing Engineer….
Supporting the manufacturing plant meant making improvements. Improvements to people, improvements to the processes and improvements to the plant equipment. We all loved to make changes, changes that would not only make the lives of the girls and the guys on the shop floor better, but changes to improve quality, reliability and our plant’s manufacturing efficiency. But my colleagues and I all suffered the same fate whenever we started the next new project.
The problem….
In search of our products and services, we turned to the internet, as 90% of people do. The searches would take hours. Simple requests for well-known industrial products resulted in few websites that came even close to understanding our needs, amongst all the useless hits from search engines. It was obviously that the industrial age hadn’t yet quite grasped the information age. It was time to make a change. After 3 years of research and preparation work, fabufacture.co.uk was born. An on-line superstore that exists to help the thousands of people involved in the procurement of lean manufacturing products and services, to quickly find what they’re looking for, without any hassle.
